Sport

During the Games period, the assembly can organize various sporting events to bring the neighborhood together and promote health, well-being and camaraderie. Here are a few ideas:

  1. Festivals: Festivals aim to create a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere where everyone is included, accepted and valued – just as they are (with a special focus on children). They create access to your neighborhood and help launch the training process.
  2. Inter-assembly sports tournaments: Organize tournaments of different sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, or other athletic sports activities where community members can form teams and compete in a friendly manner.
  3. Charity runs or walks: Organize charity runs or walks for social or humanitarian causes supported by the assembly, encouraging physical exercise while working for beneficial causes.
  4. Sports camps for young people: Offer sports camps for young people from the assembly or local community, offering sports activities, games and teaching based on Christian values and the principles of sports ethics.
  5. Health and fitness: Organize regular fitness sessions, group workouts or nutrition and health workshops to encourage a healthy lifestyle in the community.
  6. Inter-religious sporting events: Organize sporting competitions involving several religious communities to promote inter-religious harmony, mutual understanding and fraternity through sport.
  7. Adapted sports tournaments: Organize sporting events adapted to people with special needs or different abilities, providing inclusive opportunities for all members of the community.
  8. Sports broadcasts… see Projects / Sharing / Screening page.

These sporting events organized by the assembly during the Games provide an opportunity to promote physical and mental health, strengthen community ties and promote values such as fair play, respect and team spirit, while celebrating this global event through sport.
